At different points in time The Bair has been a post office, a hardware store, a bait & tackle shop, an apothecary and perhaps most notably…a soda shop.
The men used to sit around the pot bellied stove and drink coffee. The little girls would roller-skate up and down the length of the building, using the sagging floorboards to propel their little skates.
The cabinets still hold remedies from the early 1900’s.
